Who Do We Help : The Area We Cover
This is not an exhaustive list, and providing
We can get to a destination within 10
Minutes by driving safely and within the law
Then there is every possibility we will attend appropriate incidents.  Call outs have included Cotgrave,
Branston and various other small collections of properties and occasionally an isolated farm down a small track.
First Responders aim to arrive on scene as quickly and safely as possible after being alerted to an incident
via the ambulance service pager. First Responders from the Vale First Responders team should be able to travel
to any these villages in a relatively short time, usually arriving within 3 to 8 minutes.
As volunteers there are inevitably limits on what we can be trained to do and therefore incidents we are able
To attend.  The Ambulance service will not send us to the following :
Young people under the age of 12
Road Traffic Collisions
Suicides
We do now have two Satellite Navigation units which are really
Useful, particularly for remote locations, and we expect that we
Will be in a position to purchase two more during 2007, or early
2008.  We will then have one in each of the four kits we
Operate.

You can really help us, and the Ambulance Service, by clearly
identifying your property from the roadside with either the name,
or the number or both preferably !

Until the Sat Nav’s are purchased, we shall continue to rely upon
Street level maps and a pretty good local knowledge.
