Responders join us from all walks of life, you don’t need special skills, you don’t need previous experience, you just need to be able to spare a few hours a month and have a community spirit.

If you decide to become a Responder you will join a friendly team of people.  We meet once a month for a training evening when we practice our skills, make responders aware of any changes in protocols coming up, and share experiences of calls in the last month - what went well and sharing best practice.  

You will be involved in the group from the outset and once fully trained by EMAS you will be out on the road, with an experienced responder at your side until you are ready to respond individually.
